Come hunt a young Isard (2 to 4 years old) on approach in the Pyrenees Orientales.
Located in the Canigou massif, about 1 hour from Perpignan, you will hunt the Isard at altitudes ranging from 600 to 2400 meters above sea level. The hunt of the Isard on the approach is practiced in the foothills and high mountains and approaches can be made in the snow in the middle of winter. Depending on your physical abilities, your guide will choose the best terrain from the pristine spaces of several thousand hectares with unsuspected riches and promises to give you the opportunity to realize beautiful and authentic approaches and come back with unforgettable memories.
Running : 5 am-5.30 am Breakfast, then start hunting. Depending on your wishes and the weather : either a continuous day with sandwich, or a morning of hunting then lunch in a restaurant (possibility of nap) and then return to hunting in the afternoon. On the way back, dinner at the restaurant with your guide.
Hunting equipment : Your clothing (pants, shirts, sweaters and jackets) will need to be adapted according to the hunting season. For all seasons: good mountain shoes, a minimum 30-litre backpack topped with a pair of binoculars, a gourd, a headlamp, a kway, gloves and beanie depending on the season. If you take your weapon, we recommend a minimum of caliber 6 mm, at minimum optical level 5.
Your rifle will have to be set to 200 meters. If you don’t have any equipment, it is possible to rent it on site.
