Description
Located in the department of Vendée, in the heart of the largest forest massif of the department (5518 ha) in the middle of the forest of Mervent-Vouvant, this private hilly territory of more than 70 hectares, composed mainly of wood and a pond of one hectare, has always been an ideal biotope for the wintering of the woodcocks.
The hunt for the woodcock will be practiced on Sundays or Mondays, during the period from mid-November to the end of January. In order to manage the hunting pressure, only four hunting days will be organized on this private territory and the number of hunters will be limited, making it a rare product. During this day, the shooting is limited to three woodcocks per day per hunter as permitted by the regulations in force in the department. From 20 January 2021, the woodcock can only be hunted with a stop dog, a retrievers, Retrievers or a springer (canine groups 7 and 8) only.
During your stay, an experienced guide will accompany you during the hunting day.
Two self-contained accommodations that can accommodate two couples can be rented in addition to the price of the stay.
